Quantico is located 40 miles south of Washington, D.C. in Prince William County—25 miles north of Fredericksburg and 25 miles east of Manassas. Its name, By the Big Stream, originated with the Native American Indians who inhabited the area in the 1500’s and aptly describes Quantico’s location on the banks of the Potomac River. Don’t miss the River Road park on the Potomac.
