For many D.C. homeowners, Halloween is a holiday that brings fun-filled activities for the entire family. Decorating with pumpkins, dressing up in costumes, exploring haunted houses, and trick-or-treating with the kids make Halloween so much fun.   • Halloween Treasure Hunt at the Mansion
    The historic Mansion on O and O Street Museum will be decked out for Halloween throughout October. The Mansion will be decorated with themed rooms and secret doors where you can go on a scavenger hunt to search for Halloween-themed prizes. If you bring your own shopping bag, you can purchase Halloween candies and special treats to take back home.

    The Assembly Food Hall is hosting a day of Halloween fun for the entire family. During the day, you can enjoy great food from vendors like Charo's Tacqueria and Great Lake Diners, as well as activities like photo ops with Halloween characters, face painting, and trick-or-treating for the kids. The food hall will be jumping with live music to add to the Halloween festivities.
  • Nightmare Spooky Bar Crawl
    If you're visiting the area to check out D.C. homes for sale, head to Dupont Circle for the 24th annual Nightmare of M Street bar crawl. This annual Halloween event celebrates new area bars with free admission, special drinks, DJs, party favors, raffles, and giveaways. Be sure to come dressed in your best Halloween costume because this is one of the biggest costume competitions in town.
  • Halloween-Themed Mini Golf
    Swingers Dupont and CitySwing are offering spooky mini golf for Halloween. You can enjoy a trick-or-treat prize wheel at Swingers Dupont where the prize is a shot of tequila and a special cookie treat. At the CitySwing driving range, you'll find several Halloween-themed events that include 30 minutes of free play on golf simulators for everyone wearing a Halloween costume.
  • Nightmare in Navy Yard
    This Halloween, the D.C. waterfront neighborhood on Canal Street will be transformed into the Nightmare in Navy Yard. This Halloween event features over 12,000 square feet of party space with a big dance party, a live DJ, and a three-hour open bar for ghouls and goblins over 21. There are also haunted props, laser lights and special effects, and a Halloween costume contest.
  • Six Flags Fright Fest
    Spooky celebrations are back this year at Six Flags America with a variety of haunted attractions, roller-coaster thrills, Halloween shows, and family entertainment. If you dare, take a peek at Ghost Town, Zombieville, and Dead Man's Party. For the ultimately Fright Fest scare, take a ride in the dark on one of many Halloween roller coasters that will definitely make you scream!

    If you bring the kids, don't forget to visit Boo Fest for family-friendly roller coaster rides, spooky Tea Cup rides, trick-or-treating in Looney Tunes Spooky Town, Halloween magic shows and circus acts, and monster entertainment. Boo Fest is a great Halloween treat for kids 12 and under.
